The ACWWA Membership Committee looks after all matters related to membership within the association. The committee carries out this mandate through recruiting programs in cooperation with AWWA and WEF, promoting membership at ACWWA events, publicizing membership benefits in the ACWWA magazine and recognizing current members through recognition programs.
The Membership Committee falls under the Membership Director and is comprised of:

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITY – We need people like you!
Volunteering could be the best professional and personal investment you've made in years. Professionally, you will make valuable contacts, enhance your resume, and increase your knowledge of the water and waste water field. Personally, you can expect new friends, fun, and personal growth. Volunteering in ACWWA is also one more way to demonstrate your commitment to providing water and wastewater services for everyone.
There are lots of opportunities to volunteer with ACWWA both short term and long term.
Periodic - help out during the annual conference, be available 1-2 hours every so often if the need arises
Small - sitting on a committee and be given tasks that might require regular attention such as 1-2 hours per month
Medium - acting as a committee chair. In this role, you would have a set list of duties and work under the direction of a Director.
High - acting as a Director. This role usually comes after you have been involved in another form. This can be a very rewarding role.
Here are the areas that you can help with:
Membership
Volunteer
Government Affairs
Education
Young Professionals
Water For People
Communications (magazine, website, public relations)
Scholarships
Technical Papers (reviewing submissions for fall conference)
Cross Connection Control
