Meet in front of the Crown Plaza for a 5:30 p.m. start.
The route will leave the Crown Plaza and connect with the South Riverfront Trail between the Crown Plaza and the Beaverbrook Art Gallery.
At the Trail, the route will head west along the riverfront, and past the lighthouse before looping around underneath the Carleton Street Pedway and head east on the trail past the crown Plaza and Beaverbrook Art Gallery, along The Green to the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge. The route will cross the walking bridge and then take a sharp right towards the Nashwaak River Walking Bridge. The turnaround point will be just past the eastern end of the bridge. Anyone measuring distance can turn at approximately 3.1km. A pylon will be on the trail at this location as well. From the turnaround point, the route will return to the front of the Crown Plaza by turning left from the trail between the Crown Plaza and Beaverbrook Art Gallery.
The route does not have any road crossings and will allow participants to see several of Frederictones iconic picture scenes in the Carleton Street Pedway, the Lighthouse, Christ Church Cathedral, Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge, Nashwaak Walking Bridge, and perhaps with this crowd, the Wastewater Treatment Facility.
