The Atlantic Canada Water & Wastewater Association (ACWWA) is a 'Member Association' of Water Environment Federation (WEF). WEF is an association focused on preserving and enhancing the global water environment. WEF has has over 35,000 members and works to provide its’ members, public officials, and the general public with the necessary tools to engage in or learn ways to improve quality of life through the sustainable management of water resources, water protection, and water and wastewater environment.
The foundation for WEF membership is the philosophy that every individual member is: working in water quality; contributes to making our world a better place to live; and is considered a 'Professional Member'.
WEF membership packages for Atlantic Canada include:

The WEF Utility Partnership Program (UPP) is designed to allow utilities to join WEF and their local WEF Member Association (MA) while creating a comprehensive membership package for designated employees.

Professional Membership Package
Individuals involved in or interested in water quality.
The YP Membership Package is available to water quality professionals with five (5) years or less work experience in the industry and who are under the age of 35.

The Student Membership Package is designed for the specific needs of students - our future water qualtity professionals - as it offers Student membes a solid foundation on which to build their careers and gain instant credibility with water quality leaders.
The Executive Membership Package is available to any individual interested, or involved in water quality, and is designed specifically to provide access to WEF's comprehensive suite of publications and water knowledge.
